The VI Peel

A medical-grade chemical peel that works beneath the surface accelerating cell turnover, fading discoloration, and rebuilding a clearer, more even complexion. Minimal discomfort. Meaningful results.

✓  Medical-grade · VI Peel Precision Plus System

Resurfacing that goes deeper than skincare alone.

A chemical peel works by applying a carefully formulated acid solution to the skin, which loosens the bonds between dead and damaged cells and prompts the skin to shed its outermost layers. What replaces them is fresher, smoother, and more evenly pigmented skin produced by the healthier cells beneath.

"Not a one-size-fits-all treatment VI Peel formulas are selected based on your skin, your concerns, and your goals."

The VI Peel line uses a synergistic blend of acids and skin-supportive ingredients at concentrations that deliver real clinical results without requiring extended downtime. It's designed for comfort — the solution includes a topical anesthetic — and it's effective across all skin types and tones, including deeper complexions that require extra care around pigmentation risk.

Why VI Peel works.

Each VI Peel formula combines several active ingredients, each doing a distinct job:

TCA

Trichloroacetic acid is the primary resurfacing agent. Penetrates to the mid-dermis to stimulate collagen and accelerate cell renewal.

Retinoic acid

Boosts cell turnover and collagen synthesis. Helps fade hyperpigmentation and smooth fine lines at the cellular level.

Salicylic acid

Oil-soluble - clears pores, calms inflammation, and makes this peel particularly effective for acne-prone skin.

Phenol

Enhances penetration and provides analgesic effect, making the treatment significantly more comfortable than many peels.

Vitamin C

A brightening antioxidant that inhibits melanin production and helps protect skin during the healing process.

Formulas for every concern.

The VI Peel line includes several targeted formulations. Your provider will recommend the right one based on your skin assessment.

Consultation & formula selection

We assess your skin tone, texture, and specific concerns and select the appropriate VI Peel formula. We'll also review any medications, skincare actives, or conditions that may affect your peel experience.

Skin prep & cleanse

The treatment area is thoroughly cleansed and degreased to remove any barrier that would prevent the peel from penetrating evenly.

Peel application

The solution is applied in one or more layers using a gauze applicator. You may feel a brief tingling or warmth the phenol in the formula helps buffer discomfort significantly. The entire application takes 15–30 minutes.

Take-home kit & aftercare

You leave with the VI Derm post-peel kit a curated set of products designed to support your skin through the peeling process and optimize results. Written instructions are included.

What peeling looks like

Visible peeling typically begins on day 3–4 and continues through day 7. Skin may appear bronzed or tight before it begins to shed. The peeling can range from subtle flaking to more pronounced shedding depending on your skin and the formula used.

During this period, let the skin shed on its own, do not pick or force peeling. Avoid retinoids, acids, and active skincare until fully healed, and wear SPF 30+ daily without exception.

When you'll see results

Once peeling resolves (typically by day 7–10 ) most patients notice visibly brighter, smoother, more even skin. Pigmentation concerns often improve progressively over 4–6 weeks as deeper layers emerge.

A series of 3 peels spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended for more complex concerns like melasma or significant sun damage. Single treatments work well for maintenance or as a seasonal skin reset.

Who it's for and who should wait.

The VI Peel is one of the most inclusive chemical peels available its formulation is designed to be safe and effective across all Fitzpatrick skin types, including deeper tones that are historically more vulnerable to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation with aggressive peels.

You should delay treatment if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active cold sore or skin infection in the area, are using isotretinoin (Accutane), or have had recent sun exposure or laser treatments. A full consultation lets us assess timing and any contraindications before proceeding.

Does a VI Peel hurt?

Most patients describe a brief stinging or warmth during application that fades quickly, the phenol in the formula acts as a built-in anesthetic. It's considered one of the more comfortable medical-grade peels available.

How is this different from a spa peel or over-the-counter exfoliant?

Spa-grade and at-home peels work at the very surface of the skin. The VI Peel penetrates into the mid-dermis using a combination of acids at clinical concentrations and the depth and multi-ingredient synergy produce results that topical products simply can't replicate.

Can I wear makeup during the peeling phase?

We recommend avoiding makeup for the first 24–48 hours. After that, mineral makeup is generally well-tolerated. Avoid products with active ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) until peeling is fully complete.

Can the VI Peel be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Chemical peels pair well with microneedling, injectables, and laser treatments but timing matters. We'll help you sequence treatments appropriately so your skin can fully recover between sessions.

What's the cost?

Pricing varies depending on the formula selected and the area treated. Please contact us or book a consultation for current pricing we'll walk you through everything before your appointment.
